Teacher Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin & Yang Yin
Alice’s yoga story
Five months into my first teacher training, I realized I wanted to teach yoga. I consider yoga a practice of meditation in movement guided by the breath, bringing you a sense of calm and relieve while at the same time providing you concentration and strength.
Why do you teach yoga? What do you get from it?
I want to bring this calm and serenity into people’s lives on and off the mat, making them aware of their thoughts, their breath, their bodies. I find it so important to remain in tune with all of the above and be able to connect with yourself. This is a lifelong practice for myself and sharing it with others makes it a priority for myself as well.
What can people expect in your class(es)?
In my classes I take the time to allow you to tune into how you are feeling today, in this moment, in this place. To allow any thoughts or feelings to arise and let the breath guide you towards release and letting go. I focus on alignment and safe practice of yoga in a welcoming and accepting, safe space.
What are you learning/practising as a teacher, where are you challenged?
As a teacher I am learning that life is a constant balancing act in giving and receiving. Taking time to practice and stay connected with myself in order to share the practice and inspire others. To prioritize self care and compassion in order to encourage others to do the same.
