Cacao, Breath & Loving kindness
In this workshop we will:
• Enjoy a nourishing drink: blend of 100% pure cacao, lucuma and 7 medicinal mushrooms (NOT hallucinogenic/magic/psychoactive)
• Mindful movement to reconnect with our body, heart and mind
• Cultivate loving kindness to ourselves, others and the planet
About Loving kindness (Metta bhavana)
Metta means ‘love’ in Pali (in a non-romantic sense), friendliness, or kindness. It is an emotion, something you feel in your heart. Bhavana means development or cultivation.
About the cacao and mushroom drink
Ingredients: cacao nibs, cacao butter, lucuma powder, 7 mushroom blend (Reishi, Chaga,Shiitake, Maitake, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps and Tremella), vanilla oil, sea salt.
The ingredients are NOT psychedelic/hallucinogenic.
Cacao is not considered a drug or a medicine, but there is evidence that it can be beneficial for our health.
About the breathwork / pranayama
Healthy breathing helps to trigger relaxation and release tension by nourishing and balancing our autonomous nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic). Conscious breathing can lower blood pressure and slow down our heart rate. Healthy breathing can help improve our immunity, as well!
Who is this workshop for?
Anyone wishing to connect with themselves and practice self-love, and extend that love to others. Adults of all ages, genders and abilities are welcome.
Please note that if you are currently taking medication (e.g., antidepressants like MAOIs or SSRIs), a ceremonial dose of cacao may not be suitable for you. Please consult with your doctor if you are unsure.
This session is not suitable if you are allergic to cacao and/or mushrooms, or currently experiencing:
– unmanaged epilepsy
– severe acid reflux
